Welcome to RealEstateTexan! My name is Shabana and I'm excited to share my thoughts and experiences here.
Texas is my home and I am proud to be a Texan. I was born and raised in the Dallas metroplex. I've been married since 2005 and we're raising a wonderful young tween. Real Estate and altruism are my ideal work paths and I am so lucky to pursue both. I enjoy giving back to the community and trying to bring positive change, so I volunteer with Girl Scouts, the PTA, the Hunter's Ridge HOA, and the CCAR Government Affairs & TREPAC committee. It is my dream to one day help with clean water and school building projects in the developing world, especially in Tanzania and India.
I have been in the Real Estate industry since 2002, where I began as an agent's assistant at Remax of Greater Waco. I double majored in Finance and Real Estate at Baylor University. With 15+ years of experience, I have been lucky to work in several facets of this industry: loan officer, Realtor, mortgage broker/owner, door to door loss mitigation including short sales/deed in lieu, REO asset management of up to 1,000 nationwide properties within a single portfolio, REO QC, auditing mortgage servicers and REO. My corporate career has been with notable firms such as Remax of Greater Waco, East Texas Mortgage Services, Sunset Mortgage, Texaslending.com, Keller Williams, William Davis Realty, EMC Mortgage/Bear Stearns, JP Morgan Chase, VRM, Caliber Home Loans, and Caliber Real Estate Services, LLC. Throughout my recent nine year REO career, I have worked with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, the VA, GreenRiver Capital, Atlas REO, Owen REO, NRT, AssetLink, FAS, Safeguard, First American, etc.
Customer service is very important to me, and it's the driving force that steers my real estate businesses: selling, buying and investing. I look forward to sharing my endeavors on this platform.
